The Power of Place will be a 30-minute documentary film that explores the negative impacts of Northern Pass, a 180-mile long electricity transmission line project that has been proposed by Northeast Utilities in partnership with Hydro-Quebec.  It will run from Pittsburg, NH, south to Deerfield, NH.  Jerry Monkman, conservation photographer from Portsmouth, NH, is currently raising funds to produce this film.  If the thought of elctric transmission lines crossing the White Mountain National Forest and the Appalachain National Scenic Trail strikes you as wrong, then please check out Jerry's website at www.ecophotography.com to get information on how you can directly contribute to the making of this film.  The deadline to raise funds for this project is May 16, 2013, and as of today 163 individuals/organizations have pledged to support this project.
